‘Farmer to Farmer’ Series | Volume 5 featuring Grant Borgward

Having already established that the application of trace elements is best applied through a foliar spray, Grant continues in this series to now consider what the best form of trace element is.

In this presentation he broadly evaluates four trace element forms :

oxide

sulphate

chelate

phosphate

The low pH engineered technology form of phosphate ensures rapid uptake once it is sprayed onto the leaf. This is because once the nutrient is inside the leaf it gains rapid entry into any and every leaf cell that it hits.

The plant then will utilise that nutrient and take it to where ever it needs it inside the plant, basically within 30 minutes.
