This is the third of our 8-article series based on fertilising crops to improve human health. These have all been taken from a joint publication by the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI) and the International Fertiliser Industry Association (IFA). In this third publication we focus on Plant Nutrition and Health Risks Associated with Plant Diseases. Healthy plants promote healthy people, and a varied diet is required to provide the full complement of essential nutrients needed. It is an established fact that no single plant source contains all of the essential nutrients required in their proper ratios or concentrations. However, many advances have been made in increasing nutrient value if plant nutrient deficiencies are addressed. Read more about it here.
